Momentum makes a critical difference in the people's lives and in the quality of our community by providing the best services possible at a reasonable cost. Cost benefits to the community for community-based care in lieu of hospitalization or incarceration are significant. Community-based services not only prevent institutionalization, they can and most often do, reintegrate the client back into the mainstream of life. Each year 140 Momentum clients obtain meaningful employment and maintain that employment for 30 days or more. Eighty-five percent of the people served in our day treatment and crisis residential programs are released to less restrictive care. Eighty percent of the adolescents we serve show significant improvement in their functioning. Eighty-five percent of clients in our supported housing program maintain stable housing for a year or longer.
